Awesome! I was a bit hesitant on downloading this app because people claimed it didn't have the option to change the time. The people who claimed that it did have one were right. Anyway, this app is amazing! It saves me a lot more money downloading this app just for go and chess.
Amazing!! It has all the features of a high end expensive digital chess clock (like increments) and yet it's free. Don't listen to the idiots who said there's no settings button. On my galaxy s I just click on the left capacitive key and choose configure.
Functional but not flexible The app provides minimal functionality. It doesn't allow me to change a few things like clock appearance, number for time crisis, and sound & vibration.
No settings I am sure this is a great app but you cannot configure it at all on the asus Transformer tf101. I like it but right now it's only good if you want to give each player 1 hour to make a move. I really like everything about what is here it's just that I can't configure it at all.
Needs location and full network access Why on earth does a chess clock need this? Whether it is nefarious or just bad developer hygiene, it needs to be fixed. At very least, compelling features that justify the need should be spelled out in the app store description.
Good Ok, there are two things missing in this app. First, it doesn't say who starts before starting a clock. And second, there is no option for time increment after a number of moves. If these two were added. I's give 5 stars
No settings available for Nexus 7 I guess it depends on what device you use. Sounds like a great app for those who can access the settings, but for the rest of us, it is essentially unusable. Would love to this fixed.
Old but better than the rest. Its obvious that the programmer of this app is also a blitz player because he understands the importance multitouch. Other chessclocks are just good in graphics but not made by real chessplayers
Spot on! It has all the features of a high end, expensive chess clock. It's simplistic, minimalistic, elegant and a great UI. I'd give it more stars if I could.
A dubs The inherent flaw with this clock is that it prompts white to hit start as it says "start" right-side up for whomever moves first. Aside fom that it's a good app.
Bad for nexus 7 No reset, no way to change time. Probably because relies on being a menu button?
Good features, very handy Its biggest plus point is the customization of timing modes and amount of time .. a little more work on the quality of graphics and custom appearance and I would give 5 stars .. also the ability to have different time modes for both players would make this amazing
Solid BUT.. ...for 5 stars needs to be FIDE compliant. "90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move one." Can do 90 mins, can add 30 secs per move, but can't adjust after the 40 moves.
Good, but doesn't save settings. This app has all the important features that many others lack, and works beautifully. However, it has a couple of annoyances. Strengths: - Many timing options (no Canadian byo-yomi, though). - Each time display faces its player. - A pause button. Problems: - The "Start" / "Pause" button is too small to contain those words, which get truncated to "Star" and "Pau". This is just cosmetic, though. - One person's time is yellow. The other's is red. How about a higher-contrast colour scheme? Outdoor play is really awkward. - It does not save settings: I have to go to "settings" and select, e.g., byo-yomi, change the number of periods, etc., every time I start the app. That's tedious (and it sucks to start a game, run out of time, and find that you forgot to set everything correctly again for the 20th time). If any of these problems were difficult to fix, I'd give the app five stars. But given how easy they'd be to eliminate, I deduct 2 stars. Still a good app!
doesn't work well on nexus7 i miss menu on nexus 7. unable to configure.
It is freezing! Dont download it is useless
Setting not found In my device, there is no setting button! Your only choice is to play a 1 hour time control, no other setting possible.
Seriously? On a galaxy tab 10.1 I get no settings options whatsoever. So close yet completely unusable.
GR8 it is gr8 and you dont have to do just 5 min like the other ones , my favourite
Great App Does what it says it does. I really love this timer because of the ability to change the amount of time per side.
Very good It does what it's meant to do. I have taken off one star because it doesn't have enough options.
