AWSOME! Insanely addicting and the replay ability comes from the fact that the stars are from times, not briefcases, and for the briefcases you missed. One in app purshase that is not necessary for progression. If I could, I'd rate higher. Hats off to you Noodlecake. Only thing though, is that some of the spinning spike hammers have wierd hit boxes, but not all. Best part for me is that the chalenge is at good levels. One suggestion is to add a level editor.
Loved it. I Don't find it repetitive at all. Love the complexity of certain levels as if playing through a speed run with only a frame or two to make it through. Music kinda sucked but that's not important. Smooth gameplay and controls nice artwork. Pretty funny story. Just work on certain lag issues in the menu and after completing a level. Other than that it's pure gold.
Feel accomplished! Super fun and rewarding in short bursts. I'm about halfway through the first world and every 3 star time/briefcase collect has been achievable. It could be more challenging, but at this level of challenge it constantly itches the success part of my brain. I'd give this game 5 stars if the controls were a little more stable. Sometimes a direction glitches out and thinks you're still pressing it when you totally aren't.
Would give 6 stars if I could. Great little retro platform game. Music, graphics, controls all very polished and professional. The time and collectible achievements make it really replayable. I don't usually even like this sort of level memorization reflex platformer, but the short level length makes it really enjoyable.
Yep Platformers are probably my favorite genre of game. I always check them out and I really love it when they're Retro! Some Say its Repeative but that's what makes it good. Seeing how one obstacle can be arranged or used to make a great challenge was always a great part of them. Anyway, Game's Great. Controls are a Little touchy and sometimes stick.
A challenging game This game is not something to take on lightly. It will test your platforming skills and patience with difficult but not cheap (apart from those spinning spikes, their hitboxes are weird) you will not be battered with abilities to purchase retries or skip levels by shoving your wallet into their vault. If your looking for a proper platforming challenge then this game is for you! Good luck.
Great game! I recommend this game to anyone who loves a good challenge and retro-players. Although it seems repetitive, each level is challenging in its own way. Noodlecake did very well developing this game and they get 5 stars! There's no lag, no crappy controls, and no asking for money! It's a combination of retro and parkour. Great game, indeed.
Great F2P Game Most Free to play games are ad heavy. This one only shows ads every few levels. 8-bit graphics and music are amazing. A most try for those completionists like myself due to having a three star rating and collecting briefcases. Only wished there was a stat for killing every enemy in the level.
Wonderful! It's just perfect how all the elements fit together. Challenging, sometimes annoying, but lovely. One thing though; could you maybe change up the goals a bit? So your not always punching the head off a scientist.
Nothing revolutionary, everything done right. Provides enough challenge to keep you playing and doesn't feature ads! Not a game changer, but a finely crafted platformer that does it's job brilliantly. It uses simple mechanics and isn't overwhelming and still manages to engage the player. The levels are short enough as to not make dying and replaying too frustrating, yet challenging enough so each level doesn't feel too short or devoid of content. Overall a great time filler.
Best F2P Under 25 MB This Super Meat Boy inspired platformer is one of the best games I've ever installed on my phone. It's fun and challenging. But a little glitchy and repetitive. But hey, it's free to play. What more could you ask?
Nice Well made, controls are good, looks good, and the soundtracks are downright awesome. However, 2 things could be improved: 1) there is a lag between the end of the level and when the menu pops up, and 2) the levels need to be a LOT longer. It takes me an average of around 30 seconds to complete each one.
It's a good game fun to an extent but you might enjoy it. the game is difficult for those looking for a challenge even with a, its fun but hard to 100%, and there are lots of techniques to use to complete the levels which makes the game unique cause you're figuring out new techniques to complete a level. the game has some flaws like when I complete a level, a delay happens and the game can be repetitive, the story to some can be stupid, but this is a game recommend for those looking for a challenge and not for the story.
Very good. It's a great little platformer with heart. No annoying ads to interrupt you while gaming, only after you beat a couple of levels. 5 stars well deserved and I hope more developers follow your example of gaming, kudos!
A model for all mobile game titles It's fun, challenging, and isn't asking me for money every 30 seconds. More developers should put effort into making a quality game like this and less effort into trying to nickel and dime their players at every given opportunity. Kudos to you, Noodlecake.
Perfect Quick Platformer This game is awesome. The levels are well designed. The controls works excellent and the 2D graphics are beautiful. Ton of stages and free version includes all of them which includes ads that don't bother you at all and I hate ads. More developers should take tips from Noodlecake.
Badass classic platformer. The only problem is playing on the galaxy note 2 is a bit hard due yo the larger screen. The movement keys are kinda far apart making wall jumping pretty hard. Maybe add a way to adjust that?
Would definitely buy the full version if... ...there was support for physical buttons. Some of us like to have a bit better control over our games (which is the main reason I bought a phone with slide-out buttons), so added support for phones like Xperia Play and other phones with physical buttons / keyboards would be hugely appreciated. In such twitchy / precise platformers, it's just essentially expected at this point... most others in this genre support them. It would really make the game better. Other than that, it's pretty good so far.
Frustrating I beat it (not counting time trials or collecting all of the briefcases). It was a challenge, but not in the right ways. A lot of the areas almost require you to do things blindly or throw things at you that you would have to die to more than once to figure out what you're dieing to. All around, the levels felt falsely difficult and like I was more likely to win by luck than skill. It's good to play on occasion but don't sit down intending to beat a specific level without getting angry at those spike boxes.
Wonderful and challenging I love this app so much, but I can't get past the third episode. Even with that I just can't seem to stay away from it, caution this app is extremely likely to get you addicted to it. Also there is a full version, but I don't see a difference so just get this one
Excellent platformer A well-made platformer with excellent controls. My only complaints are that if you're already pressing the left or right arrows when you start a level you won't move until you let go and press again, and that the ghosts which are on by default are a bit too opaque.
I was looking for more of a platformer type game with substance. This is a mildly challenging game in which the levels can usually be beaten in under ten seconds. I respect it for what it is, which feels to me like Duke Nukem meets Super Meat Boy. Levels feel very repetitive, though, and there's nothing to make you think, which is a bummer imo.
Good gameplay, in need of stability and responsiveness work Once I hit the scientist (which is the level objective), there's a delay until the Mission Complete comes up. The length of the delay increases. It is currently up to seventeen seconds. Also, the Settings menu freezes the app with perfect reliability. Furthermore, on the main menu, there's a few seconds which apparently are needed to check whether the "new!" sticker should appear on the More Games button. Additionally, the pop-ups asking the user to rate or Like the game are distasteful.
Pretty fun. As has been said before, this game is reminiscent of Super Meat Boy. Same "get through the level as quickly as possible without dying and while collecting stuff" type of game play. It's a bit simplistic, but addictive enough to be a good time waster.
Fun but difficult puzzle platformer This game has many levels with stars and breifcases to get that itll last you a long time, the puzzles get more and more difficult to get through but gradually enough it doesnt seem impossible. There's a lot of fun with the gameplay, as a badass, and lvls, like a jungle, and enemies, like ninjas. For those who like it easy theres a lite play mode. Youll have ghosts to time you or tell what was wrong, after so many it gets crowded but theres an off in options and an auto retry. Great all around get this one.
It's great but I like this game a lot but the ai is so bad not in the sense that's it's stupid but in the sense it was poorly designed. The ai knows your there before it even sees you you can be ten feet below it and 20 feet away and it will whip around and start shooting at you
Very Challenging! I like it! I haven't played a game like this before! Ever since I downloaded the Freeware I haven't put the game down until the game asks me to rate this game hahah! I might look into the paid version of this game.
Repetetive There's content for about 10 exciting levels but it's spread out over so many levels you go crazy. Every time something new is added, you spend 10 more levels without nothing new. The graphics are great although repetitive with not much to set one screen apart from the rest. Its a breath of fresh air when the theme changes but then you've seen it all after 10 seconds. Not much originality but the controls and what few hazards there are work very very well. Music is great.
League of Evil!!! I love this game, tho for my phone its not exactly easy to use the controls, its an easy fix, I'd like a game like this on the rpg style. Overall I would have given it a 5 if it had better controls
Moto X Pure Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this game. But my progress is being deleted every time I close the game. Is this a bug or is this normal for the free version?
Blah Played until about the 5th level and that was enough for me. Very repetitive not a lot to do. See how fast you can run to the end of the level. That's about it.
Simply great Solid controls, awesome graphics and music, and a large selection of levels makes this one of the best mobile games I've ever played. Perfect for fans of Super Meat Boy. My only problem is that the position of the buttons can become uncomfortable after a while, but all that says to me is that it's a good time to stop playing!
Great Game I really liked this game but I wish that there was more than one character, and the characters had different abilities. Like one could jump higher one had a ranged attack things like that.
Don't know if it's just me, but it takes a long time to load things. Once they are loaded though, it's just fine. It's a great game to play when you're bored.
Best performer on Android Can be frustrating. Some cheap deaths. A little simplistic. But the most solid and precise performer on Android. If you could add longer levels and maybe mega man style combat it would be 6 stars! Also Wii mote.compatability would help the occasional cheap death.
Mostly awesome Amazing game especially if you are a Super Meat Boy fan like myself. Only downside is that the collision detection is pretty atrocious. You die by things you aren't even close to and it can be very frustrating.
The nastalgia is strong with this one Warning you will curse your phone in public and look totally wackado. The good news is this game is worth the awkward moments in front of strangers. It's fun punching the henchmen before they shoot you. The action starts off simplistic but amps up the difficulty pretty fast. Reminds me of the classics and has lots of charm. I recommend turning ghosts off. After you die a few times the ghosts make things extremely difficult. If you like this try Random Heroes and LOE 2.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED I accepted the challenge of playing this game and it is a challenge. I love that this is hard unlike most games today. I love while you replay a level it shows all your past selves attempting it . This thing is just like super meat boy (which is good).
Weird bug I would play for a while ( I beat every level) then when I try to play the game its just black. I had to reinstall. Not happy about that but other than that its superb. Love the music.
Great game but.......... I've gone to the trouble of 3 staring and collecting the suit case on every level, why then.........should I pay for the other levels
